Session etiquette refers to the customs and courtesies that help sessions run smoothly and ensure everyone feels welcome, whether playing, listening or joining in for the first time.

Whether you're new to the tradition or a seasoned musician, your insight matters. The new podcast series entitled "In Tune With Tradition - Perspectives on Session Etiquette in Irish Traditional Music" was officially launched by the first guest, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh of Altan, on July 6th 2025 at Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, Miltown Malbay, Co.
